Raschig ring material and classification

The materials of Raschig ring filler are mainly divided into metal, ceramic and plastic.

Metal Raschig ring: has excellent electrical and thermal conductivity, high strength, good corrosion resistance, but relatively high cost. Common metal materials include carbon steel, stainless steel 304, 304L, 410, 316, 316L, etc.

Ceramic Raschig ring: It has excellent acid and alkali resistance, high temperature resistance and compressive strength, but is fragile and not suitable for use in high-speed flowing fluids.

Plastic Raschig ring: It has the advantages of light weight, good corrosion resistance and low cost, but its high temperature resistance and compressive strength are relatively low.
