Mullite honeycomb ceramic heat storage body

In the industrial field, energy consumption and energy conservation and emission reduction have always been the core issues. Mullite honeycomb ceramic heat storage body is playing an irreplaceable role as a key component of the thermal high-temperature combustion technology.

Mullite honeycomb ceramic heat storage body uses mullite as the main raw material, and mullite has excellent characteristics such as high temperature resistance and low thermal expansion coefficient. Its internal structure is regularly porous in millimeters, with a typical pore density of 40 - 60 holes per inch (pore diameter 4 - 6mm), and the pores are neatly arranged in hexagonal or square shapes. This structure allows heat to directly convection in the through-hole channel, and the heat exchange area per unit volume can reach 2000 - 2500㎡/m³. Compared with the heat exchange area per unit volume of traditional heat storage balls, the heat exchange efficiency is greatly improved.

In practical applications, mullite honeycomb ceramic heat storage body performs excellently. In steel heating furnaces, the heat recovery rate of traditional heat storage balls is only 70%, and the flue gas temperature is 850℃; and after replacing honeycomb ceramics, the heat recovery rate is increased to 95%, the flue gas temperature is reduced to 140℃, and the energy consumption of ton of steel is reduced by 40%, saving more than 8 million yuan in natural gas costs every year. In glass melting kilns, it can reduce temperature fluctuations from ±15℃ to ±5℃, increase the excellent yield from 82% to 93%, and the annual output value exceeds 10 million yuan.

It is widely used in various heating furnaces, hot air furnaces, heat treatment furnaces and other kilns in metallurgy, building materials, petrochemical and other industries. By linking with the combustion system, precise oxygen supply is achieved, and the preheated high-temperature air and fuel are mixed in the optimal proportion, reducing the energy consumption of ton of steel, just like installing an "energy-saving pacemaker" to an industrial furnace.

With the continuous advancement of technology, the performance of Mullite honeycomb ceramic heat storage body will be further improved, and in the future, there will be broader application prospects in the fields of new energy, environmental protection, etc., making greater contributions to industrial energy conservation and emission reduction.
