一. Zirconia Core Characteristics
Physical Properties of Zirconia
High density and hardness of zirconia: density ≥ 6.0g/cm³, Mohs hardness up to level 9, Vickers hardness > 1200kg/mm², wear resistance is 30-50 times that of glass beads and 6-8 times that of alumina beads, suitable for high-speed grinding scenarios.
Impact resistance and stability of zirconia: crushing strength exceeds 150kgf, thermal stability reaches 600℃, thermal expansion coefficient is close to that of metal (10.0×10⁻⁶/K), reducing the risk of thermal stress damage.
Low wear rate of zirconia: wear rate is as low as 2ppm, sphericity is maintained after long-term use, and the smooth surface can reduce material adhesion.
二、Chemical properties of zirconia
Zirconium oxide is corrosion-resistant: except for hydrofluoric acid and molten sodium hydroxide, it can resist corrosion from most acids, alkalis, salts and organic solvents, and is suitable for chemical, pharmaceutical and other fields with high purity requirements.
Zirconium oxide is electrically insulating: volume resistivity > 10¹²Ω·cm, suitable for electronic component manufacturing.
三、Structural advantages of zirconia
Dense microcrystalline structure of zirconia: through isostatic pressing and high-temperature sintering process, there is no pores and the crystal phase is dense, ensuring anti-fragmentation performance under high-speed operation.
Dimensional accuracy: The diameter tolerance can be controlled within ±0.01mm (such as Keyuan products), meeting the needs of nano-level grinding.
